Character Information:
Full Name: Anna Ichinomiya
Series: Yankee-Kun to Megane-Chan
Canon point: End of chapter 122
Age: 15
Species: Human
Appearance/PB: right here!
Appearance upon arrival: Just her regular school clothes.

History:
Previous RP memories: No.
Bringing someone along?: Nope.
Character History: Very little is mentioned about Anna's history. We know she used to be a cheerleader and even won a national championship in middle school, and that she tried and succeeded to get into Monshiro High School. She came to the attention of the main characters when they needed a coach for a cheer competition, and in the end she ended up helping them out. After that, she sort of fell into a "band of rejects" trio with her two friends, Kagawa and Kitami, and eventually ended up on the Student Council alongside them as the Vice President.

Personality:
When it all boils down to it, Anna is a prep.

No, seriously.

Anna's got it all: the cute clothes, the well done hair, the nice body - all those basic traits you'd combine into the preppy stereotype. Not to mention she's even, like, got the style of speech and everything! Combined with the fact that she's won a national cheerleading competition, you pretty much have the full prep package right there. Well, except for two things.

One, Anna is anything but sweet.

Anna tends to get annoyed by just about everything. She has very little patience for anything (or anyone) that bothers her - a category that pretty much fits in everything under the sun she isn't interested in. She shirks off the typical passive-aggressive female teenager way of dealing with this though, opting for a much more in-your-face approach. Anna will insult, yell, and tell off anyone without a second thought, and will never fail to express her dislike in something. If she's unhappy, you'll know it, and she'll whine and complain as much as she damn well pleases. If that doesn't get things to go her way, she'll opt for the physical side, which involves punching, hitting, or - if she has to - ball kicking. She isn't exactly spoiled, she just would prefer any annoyances in her life to disappear, like, right now.

Even when something (or someone) isn't getting on her nerves, Anna hardly acts like she's ready to run around picking daisies. She actually rarely smiles about things, and only tends to do so around the few friends she gains. In most situations, Anna will be sitting on the sidelines, filing her nails and looking and acting very much like she does not give a damn. However, if she is interested in the situation at all, she tends to be right in the middle of things, and can be pretty forceful in her words and actions. Anna can actually act a little entitled whenever she really gets into something, expressing her opinions in a tone that says you better be listening to her because she deserves to have her voice heard (and it really is better to listen the first time, because ignoring her may gain you a smack over the head).

This isn't to say she's 100% abrasive in every situation. As mentioned, she will smile around people she considers friends if she is genuinely enjoying herself. The smiles aren't a constant thing though, but they do make an appearance from time to time. Aside from that, there is only one scenario where Anna seems to mellow out when she's around other people, even if she's feeling talkative, and that's when she's around Akira Kitami and Itsuki Kagawa. While she still will whine, pout, and complain about things, she rarely does it about them, which lightens the usual tension she carries about in social situations. Those two seem to be the only individuals she is genuinely comfortable around; she may be on friendly terms with a few other people, but she only seems to actually relax when she's around Kitami and Kagawa. This can all be linked back to how their friendship all started; it all began with the simple assertion that they "don't really have anywhere else to go", which led from them all hanging out in the same place to them all hanging out with each other. Neither of them really had friends before they met each other, and even though they've gained more friends since they've met, they were all each other's first friends in the series, which has made it easier for all of them to relate to (and relax around) each other.

The second thing that separates Anna from her preppy stereotype is that, well, Anna isn't that popular.

As mentioned above, when we first meet her, Anna doesn't have any friends, and from what we've seen of her in the series, it's by choice. People don't intentionally avoid her or bully her - in fact, if anything it's the other way around. While it isn't to an extreme sense, Anna has a sort of aloofness to her that tends to paint a big 'FUCK OFF' sign on her forehead. Add that in with her tendency to get annoyed with anyone fairly easily and end up (literally) punching them away, it makes sense that she's that girl that ends up walking home alone every day. When approached by a few people from her school about assisting them in a cheer competition, it became pretty obvious that, despite their constant and aggravating pestering, Anna only wanted to do her own thing and wanted absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.

However, this anything-but-talkative anti-social face is far from what Anna really is. It's revealed later on by Anna herself that when she was in cheer in middle school, she used to lead practices often. But, due to her blunt and tough teaching methods, people began to quit, saying she was "way too harsh". The thing is, Anna isn't a dainty, sweet young girl; she is naturally loud, harsh, and blunt, and when people began to abandon the squad because she was being just that, it put Anna off from active social interaction. She seems to be full aware of how she acts and embraces it fully; she rarely if ever apologizes for her actions or words, and has a sort of entitled attitude that says people better accept her for who she is or beat it - and it was when people chose to beat it instead of stick around that she appeared to reach a decision that actively searching out social interaction just wasn't worth it.

The only thing that ended up pushing Anna out of her apathetic shell was when she was finally told that she was needed - and not just that, but the very teaching methods people left because of in the past were needed. After that, she begrudgingly stepped outside of her little bubble and began to interact with others on a daily basis. Through cheer practices Anna appeared to warm up to the idea of being around others, especially after people reacted positively to her leadership and showed excitement regarding practices. Feeling appreciated is something Anna enjoys and seems to need if she is to stick around other people. In the end, it's shown that Anna shares the same desire with nearly every other teen - to find a place where they belong and can do what they want without being berated for it. Not that Anna will ever happily admit she feels like she finally found her place - even after mentioning it offhandedly to someone, she quickly adds on that there's still tons of stuff she's still not happy about! But after that point in the series, Anna's complaints dwindle down to small, trivial ones, as she seems to have no qualms with where she is socially anymore.

Extra:
Character Abilities: Anna is pretty athletic because of her cheerleading days. She is flexible, can run pretty fast, and do all the things you'd expect a national championship winning cheerleader to be able to do. She also has been known to throw a punch or a kick that can cause pain, though it's not as if she can beat anyone up.

And she can pack that food away and not gain a pound.
Possessions: Just her clothes and her book bag.
Anything else: NOPE.
